Hi Friend.  I have to appoligize that I have not updated in a little while, but I have been kind of busy lately.  I will be updating soon.  I am going into my fall sports, a wedding and some other stuff that my husband added to the list…

He, in the meantime, is redesigning our desotoimage.com website, which is going beautifully.  I can’t wait til it is up.

I have also been working on my Christmas Photo cards, which I will be posting soon.  I am so excited about it!  I am designing them all myself.  If you have done a shoot with me, I will definitely be emailing you the link when they are done.  Send me an email if you would like to be added to the list.  ALSO…If you have any ideas, or something in particular that you would like done, please let me know.  I am thinking that I will have them done by this weekend.

My Senior Photo Templates are also almost done.  I am scheduling private sessions for that right now as well, so email me if you would like to schedule.

I have a cotton field session that I will be doing when the time is right, what a great idea, huh!?

I want to take a second to say THANK YOU to everyone who has taken the time to email or call me to voice positive feedback about my work.  It warms my heart to know that others see the beauty that I see when I am capturing my images.  It inspires me so much!!

Thanks for stopping by my website!

I had a simply heart warming, fun time photographing these triplets and their parents.  We enjoyed the farm, and I was excited to see that the Sunflower field was in full bloom!  The kids had a lot of fun, as you can tell!  I usually just post a couple of pics, but in this case I just couldn’t choose!

This was an afternoon shoot and I enjoyed spending time with this family.  These two boys were great, and the younger boy reminded me so much of my own son, which believe it or not, has the same first name. Mom and dad had to do a little encouraging to get him to smile and I did get a few great ones.  It wasn’t hard to get the older one to participate though.  Here are a few from their session.  Hope ya’ll enjoy.

This family portrait is a work of art that we did for the family.  It is a pencil technique and although I typically don’t post the artwork, I just had to on this one, as it is one of my favorites.

Look at this, doesn’t it bring a smile to your face?

Emmy is the little dark eyed angel.  She is such a cutie, and has eyes that really just make you smile.  She is a great sister and is a very calm and gentle child.

Boo on the other hand, seems to love running away, she is a little explorer.  Boo has a very intense expression about her most of the time, which is very funny to watch.  You just can’t help wondering what she is thinking.

I will be photographing these two again for their Christmas Pictures.  Yes, I guess it is getting to be time for that scheduling again.

Doesn’t time just fly?  I just hope to always remember to take the time out to enjoy the things that life gives me.  I hope that for you too.  I was emailing back and forth with a mother the other day, and she is just Busy, busy, busy.  That’s me!  Shouldn’t we all just take a few minutes to stop and smell the roses?  I know that’s an old saying, but it still holds, even more so now a days….

Look at this, isn’t he just cute as can be!!!  This little fella plays t-ball, but at this particular moment he was setting on 3rd base in an empty field while his brother was getting warmed up for his game.  I have spent a lot of time out at the ball field this summer.  I have really enjoyed all of the kids and getting to know the parents and coaches.

Sorry that I am behind on posting.  I have a lot of work that I just cant wait to share.  I recently had a shoot with 2 little girls, Amberlee and Dylan.  These two were quite a pair and a lot of fun to spend time with.  We started off in the studio and took some pictures of the girls and their moms and their grandma.  Amberlee really enjoyed the ducks, I think.  Dylan was a little nervous, but we managed to do just fine.  It is kind of funny, Amberlee’s mom said that Dylan always enjoys loving on the baby and feeding her…  Not today Buddy!!  We then decided to go out to the park figuring that would be better for the kids.  I ended up getting some very good shots.  She finally came around, and I really liked watching and capturing her with Amberlee.  This is 3 generations of pure beauty!

I just finished a shoot with this adorable family.  I had so much fun!  We went to the square in town, to a farm, to the park and to this really old little house to take our shots. We even stopped by on the tracks to get a few.  The farm was absolutely perfect!  There was bales of hay and this really awesome wagon.  I really enjoy what I do.  It is so hard for me to explain how special it is to hang out with a family to photograph them.  I get to take a glimpse into their life, their love and their relationships.  It is so wonderful!!  Christy, I hope that you and your husband find great joy in your images.

I went to the zoo yesterday to do a shoot for these beautiful twins, Caden and Cadence.  We had a lot of fun and it was a pleasure to shoot them.  I really enjoy taking shots when my subjects are out doing their own thing.  I honestly could not tell these girls apart.  After the shoot, looking at the images, it was easy to see the different little attitudes and expressions.

That’s definately a point to make.  Although studio pictures are great, natural shots really tell who the person is, so that’s one thing that really needs to be considered when thinking about scheduling a shoot.  It can be anywhere, doing anything, fishing at the lake, planting in the garden, playing out on a grassy field, at a park or a day out on a farm.  There are also a lot of fun things to do indoors as well.  How about baking a cake, having fun with paint or playing dress up.  To me, these make the best images…
